Torkelson Stars as Hitmen Top Vipers, 7-4
The Washington Hitmen trumped the Texas Vipers, 7-4, at RFK Stadium. Washington designated hitter Spencer Torkelson was terrific. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Texas drops to 4-9.

Torkelson contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Washington get the win.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Torkelson.
