Houston Pockets 3-2 Win Over Carolina
The Houston Titans beat the Carolina Riptides, 3-2, at New League Park. Joey Ortiz, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Alex Lange came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The Titans raised their record to 11-3.

Jordan Westburg was 1 for 3 for Houston. The 27-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Robert Gasser. It was his 13th RBI of the season.

"Winning is contagious," said Westburg. "We're looking forward to the next game."
