Titans Get Clutch Win, 5-4
The Houston Titans topped the Carolina Riptides, 5-4, in Union League action at New League Park. The standout performance belonged to Houston pitcher and Sagamihara, Japan, native Tomoyuki Sugano. Houston pitcher Jordan Wicks got the win. He's now 1-1. Gabe Speier was tagged with the loss. The Titans, now 12-3, have been playing some good baseball.

Houston got a knockout punch from Eloy Jimenez. The pinch hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Sugano.
