Montreal Absorbs 5-3 Loss to Oakland
|
The Oakland Roses picked up a win at Fan's Ballyard, knocking off the Montreal PoorBoys, 5-3. Starting pitcher Eric Lauer played a key role in the triumph. The victory makes Oakland 13-2, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2026.
Kyle Tucker, who is tied for 6th in the UL in extra base hits with 9, took Montreal hurler Patrick Corbin deep in the bottom of the third. His solo home run put the Roses on top, 2-1. In all, Tucker had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Eric was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Oakland manager Herb Pilgrim.
