Washington Stopped, 4-1, by Texas
|
The Texas Vipers got a marvelous performance from pitcher Reese Olson. The right-hander kept the Washington offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-1 Texas victory at Pepsi Dome. Olson picked up the win for Texas, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 3-0. For the Hitmen, the loss makes their record 5-10.
Will Wagner chipped in a 2-run single for Texas in the bottom of the second. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Olson.
