Stars Improve to 10-5 with 5-3 Win
|
Starting pitcher Sean Manaea pitched well enough to help the Cincinnati Stars beat the Minnesota Millers, 5-3. Getting the save was Keegan Akin, his 4th. The loss puts Minnesota at 7-8.
The Stars benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the fourth. With Julio Rodriguez at bat and Cincinnati leading 3-2, the Minnesota miscue allowed Cincinnati to plate 1 and take the lead, 4-2.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Rodriguez.
