Diamonds Win Nail-Biter in 10
|
The Anaheim Diamonds picked up a win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, knocking off the Bronx Bombers, 3-2, in 10 innings. On the mound for Anaheim was right-hander Tyler Glasnow. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. The Bombers fall to 6-10.
The decisive blow was delivered by Leody Taveras in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 35-year old right-handed pitcher Shelby Miller to win the game for Anaheim. The home crowd went nuts.
"Big win," said Glasnow.
