Though he had a stellar game, Cal Raleigh could not prevent his team, the Anaheim Diamonds, from losing, 5-3, to the Bronx Bombers. Raleigh belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Now 3-14, the 2026 Diamonds have sputtered in the early going.

Gavin Lux went 1-5 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Bronx. The 28-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Tyler Mahle. It was his 10th RBI of the season.

Lux expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
