Hitmen Fall Short, 9-8, at San Francisco
|
In a tight contest at Pac Bell Park, the San Francisco Dragons edged the Washington Hitmen by the score of 9-8. San Francisco third baseman Jose Ramirez, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Mason Miller earned the save for San Francisco, his 5th of the year. The loss drops Washington to 9-8.
With San Francisco trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the second, Ramirez hit a curveball from Luis Garcia for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Dragons ahead, 4-3.
"I like our mindset right now," said San Francisco manager Joe Turnage.
