Minutemen Rack Up 3-1 Win Versus Chicago
|
Boston got a strong outing from Michael King as the Minutemen defeated the Chicago Explorers, 3-1, at Fenway Park. The winner was King. He threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Shota Imanaga. Beau Brieske picked up his 1st save of the season.
The Minutemen got a big at-bat from third baseman Matt Chapman. For the game, Chapman went 1 for 4 with a triple. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Boston a 2-1 lead.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Chapman said after the game.
The loss drops the Explorers to 11-6.
