Bronx got a big-time effort from pitcher Jesus Luzardo, but it wasn't enough to keep the Los Angeles Spirit from winning the game, 6-3. Luzardo threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The loss lowers the Bronx record to 8-11.

The decisive blow was delivered by Andres Chaparro in the bottom of the 15th when he hit a 3-run home run off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Marc Church to win the game for Los Angeles. The home crowd went nuts.

"Exciting game to play in," said Chaparro. "Getting the win makes it even better."
