Nike Field hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
Bronx Bombers pitcher Carlos Rodon was in top form, leading his team past the Los Angeles Spirit, 2-0. Cole Sands earned the save for Bronx, his 1st of the year.
The Spirit had trouble solving Rodon, who surrendered no runs on 2 hits over 9 innings.
"Carlos did a good job mixing and matching," said Bronx manager Scott Gessford.
Los Angeles is 12-9 after the loss.
