The Phoenix Firebirds topped the Boston Minutemen, 4-1, in Federal League action at Chase Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Phoenix pitcher Ranger Suarez. The loss drops the Minutemen to 8-13.

Phoenix designated hitter Agustin Ramirez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 10th hit of the season and put the Firebirds ahead, 2-1.

Ramirez told a Phoenix News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
