Minutemen Suffer 7-4 Road Loss
|
Bronx picked up a win at Magnum Stadium, bumping off the Boston Minutemen, 7-4. Pitcher George Kirby was a major reason the Bombers emerged victorious. Brent Headrick earned the save for Bronx. The Minutemen fall to 8-14 and continue their sputtering start to the 2026 season.
The Bombers got a big at-bat from left fielder Jose Altuve. For the game, Altuve went 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Bronx a 4-3 lead.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Boston manager Tony Byrne.
