Carolina Riptides starter Dylan Cease pitched his team past the Washington Hitmen, 3-2. Gabe Speier closed it out for his 5th save. The Hitmen drop to 10-12 and continue their mediocre start to the 2026 season.

Nick Loftin had a direct impact on the outcome. Loftin contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Carolina up, 3-2.
