Behind a solid performance from center fielder James Outman, the Denver Bears defeated the Detroit Demons, 7-6. Outman went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Bears. Braydon Fisher collected save number 1. Denver, now 8-14, is off to a slow start.

Denver took a 7-6 lead on Max Schuemann's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Schuemann hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Detroit pitcher Colin Poche visibly frustrated.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Outman told a local reporter after the game.
