Ironmen Fall Short, 3-2, at Baltimore
|
Baltimore pitcher J.P. Sears had a large part in his team subduing the Pittsburgh Ironmen, 3-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Pittsburgh drops to 13-11.
Baltimore second baseman Brendan Rodgers helped the Wildcats go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Rodgers hit a run-scoring single off Pittsburgh pitcher Michael Fulmer.
"It was a solid team effort," said Sears after the game.
