Detroit Beats Denver, 4-0
|
Detroit Demons starter David Peterson turned in an exceptional performance against the Denver Bears at Coors Field, resulting in a Detroit win, 4-0. Joey Wentz got credit for the save for Detroit. It was his 1st of the year. For the Bears, the loss makes them 9-15.
Detroit used a well-timed hit by Eugenio Suarez to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Demons ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Peterson.
