Minutemen Tuck Away 4-3 Win Over Denver
|
Max Fried, who led the FL in innings pitched with 210.2 in 2021, propelled his team to victory over the Denver Bears. The final score was 4-3, Boston. The win belonged to Jose Leclerc in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Landon Knack took the loss for Denver. Denver now has a record of 14-11.
Boston needed the clutch hitting of Kris Bryant to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Minutemen on top, 3-1. For the game, Bryant had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Max mixed and matched," said Boston manager Tony Byrne.
