In a low-scoring affair between the St Louis Sluggers and the Denver Bears, pitcher Jameson Taillon was the difference between victory and defeat. The St Louis right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-1 Sluggers win. Robert Garcia picked up his 4th save of the season. The Bears drop to 9-16 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2026 season.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Sluggers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when center fielder Harrison Bader hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Brayan Bello and made the score 1-0, Sluggers. Bader was 1 for 3 with a walk.
