Titans Rally to Nose Past San Diego
|
Starting pitcher Aaron Nola gave the Houston Titans a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the San Diego Snakeyes, 2-1, at New League Park. Houston reliever Jordan Wicks got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Andrew Kittredge was tagged with the loss. The Snakeyes drop to 12-14 and continue their mediocre start to the 2026 season.
Houston third baseman Jordan Westburg contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 25th hit of the season and put the Titans ahead, 1-0.
"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Nola.
