The Carolina Riptides knocked off the Pittsburgh Ironmen, 8-1, in Union League action at IBM Field. Carolina pitcher and The United States, native Dylan Cease had an outstanding performance. Pittsburgh is 14-13 after the loss.
Kody Clemens, who is tied for 8th in the UL with a 1.049 OPS, chipped in a 2-run home run for Carolina in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"Dylan did a nice job," said Riptides manager Rob Hansen.
