Fading Vipers Lose 7th Straight
|
Texas catcher J.T. Realmuto had a good game, even if his team did not. The Vipers dropped a 4-3 decision to Tampa Bay at Tony Gwynn Memorial Field. Realmuto belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The win gives Tampa Bay a record of 17-9.
The decisive blow was delivered by Dylan Moore in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 31-year old right-handed pitcher Bryan Baker to win the game for Tampa Bay. The home crowd went nuts.
Afterward, Texas manager Pete Seto said: "We've hit a rough patch."
