Phalanx Score Late to Beat Diamonds, 4-3
|
The Philadelphia Phalanx topped the Anaheim Diamonds, 4-3, in Federal League action at Citizens Bank Park. The standout performance belonged to Philadelphia pitcher and Apopka, Florida, native Logan Gilbert. The Diamonds fall to 10-17 and continue their sputtering start to the 2025 season.
Will Benson was the walk-off hero for Philadelphia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Phalanx right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Afterward, Anaheim manager Michael Kirk said: "We've hit a rough patch."
