Wildcats, Caratini Pin Bad Loss on Demons
The home team was supported by a raucous crowd at Toyota Field.

The Baltimore Wildcats captured an easy win, 17-2, over the Detroit Demons at Toyota Field. Victor Caratini led the offensive barrage, going 3-for-4 for Baltimore. Shane Baz, the winner, improved to 5-0. He held Detroit to 1 run on 3 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 10 strikeouts.

With Baltimore leading 8-0 in the bottom of the second, Caratini came up to bat against Detroit pitcher Emerson Hancock. Caratini hit a slider to right for a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Wildcats on top, 11-0.

"They slugged us," said losing manager Marc Buffington. "They slugged us hard."

The Demons drop to 12-15, as their stumbling start to the 2026 season continues.
