Vipers Pick Up 5-3 Win Against Cincinnati
The Texas Vipers beat the Cincinnati Stars, 5-3, at Pepsi Dome. The win was due in part to left fielder Brent Rooker, who slugged 2 home runs. Emmanuel Clase closed the game out for Texas, earning his 5th save. The Stars fall to 10-17 and continue to sputter in the early going.

Texas took a 4-1 lead on Jake Cronenworth's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Cronenworth hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Cincinnati pitcher Jose Butto visibly frustrated.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Rooker. "And not try to do too much."
