The Minnesota Millers downed the Portland Jaguars, 7-5, at Chrysler Canyon. Spencer Horwitz led the way, going 2-for-3 for Minnesota. Minnesota pitcher Jeff Hoffman got the win, upping his record to 4-3. Bryce Elder got the loss. Jhoan Duran was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 32 of 33 save opportunities.

Minnesota used the timely hitting of C J Abrams to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Millers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Abrams.

Minnesota has run its win streak to 4 straight.
