Minutemen Win at Home, 4-3
|
The Boston Minutemen had to overcome a fine effort from Washington pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson to win, 4-3, at Fenway Park. Woods Richardson went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Boston reliever Ben Joyce was the winner. His record is now 4-2. Nic Enright took the loss. The current losing streak for Washington has reached 4 games.
Boston took a 3-2 lead on Jonah Heim's 14th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Heim hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Washington pitcher Nic Enright visibly frustrated.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Heim.
