The Georgia Bulldogs picked up a win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, downing the Anaheim Diamonds, 5-3, in 13 innings. On the mound for Georgia was right-hander Clarke Schmidt, who played a pivotal role in the win. Peter Lambert notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record now sits at 2-2. The Diamonds fall to 10-18.

Jahmai Jones came through with a big-time hit for Georgia. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 13th inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Anaheim manager Michael Kirk.
