Minutemen Stumble, Losing to Vipers, 11-4
With center fielder Jackson Chourio leading the charge, the Texas Vipers defeated the Boston Minutemen, 11-4, at Pepsi Dome. Chourio, who is tied for 3rd in the UL in extra base hits with 16, was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Texas pitcher Reese Olson earned the win, hiking his record to 3-3. Michael King suffered the loss. The Minutemen drop to 11-17, as their stumbling start to the 2026 season continues.

With Texas leading 5-3 in the bottom of the sixth, Chourio hit a changeup from Ben Joyce for a grand slam home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Vipers ahead, 9-3.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Chourio told the Texas Chronicle.
