The Seattle Sting picked up a win at Boeing Field, dropping the Cincinnati Stars, 4-1. Gavin Williams was the difference-maker. Williams, now 2-3, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up no hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Getting the save was Josh Hader, his 3rd.

The Stars had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Sting going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old third baseman Junior Caminero came to the plate. Caminero hit a run-scoring double on a 1-1 fastball from Cincinnati hurler Kodai Senga. It was Caminero's 6th double of the year.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Seattle manager Jesus Cardiel. "It's usually not just one thing."

The victory makes Seattle 16-12, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2026.
