In a high-scoring contest between Portland and Baltimore, catcher Dillon Dingler was a difference-maker. Dingler distinguished himself in the 13-8 Portland win. He belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. David Festa, 2-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. The Wildcats, now 10-18, continue their slow start.

Portland used the timely hitting of Kevin Alcantara to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 15th inning to put the Jaguars on top, 9-8. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We're producers not directors," said Dingler. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."
