Bulldogs Get 6-3 Win Versus Phoenix
The Georgia Bulldogs had to overcome a big game from Phoenix left fielder Trent Grisham to leave Eddie Matthews Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-3. Grisham was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. Brandon Pfaadt got the win, improving to 2-3. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 3 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. Phoenix now has a record of 15-13.

The Bulldogs got a big at-bat from shortstop Bobby Witt Jr.. For the game, Witt Jr. was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Georgia a 6-3 lead.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Witt Jr.. "It sure beats the alternative."
