The Seattle Sting got a superb performance from pitcher Gavin Williams, but the Cincinnati Stars still won the game, 3-2. Williams threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. Cincinnati pitcher Reed Garrett got the win, upping his record to 6-3. Pierce Johnson got the loss. Giovanny Gallegos got the save, his 9th in 12 chances.
Luis Guillorme had a direct impact on the outcome. Guillorme contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Cincinnati up, 3-2.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Seattle manager Jesus Cardiel.
With this game in the books, Cincinnati is 69-80, Seattle 87-62.
