The Cincinnati Stars banked on Tylor Megill and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Seattle hitters in check. The final score was 3-0, Stars. Megill, now 2-0, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Cincinnati, now 18-11, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Francisco Alvarez had a direct impact on the outcome. Alvarez contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Cincinnati up, 3-0.
