Tylor Megill pitched well, but the Cincinnati Stars still fell short, losing, 4-2, to the Texas Vipers at Pepsi Dome. Brendon Little, credited with the save, is now 5 for 6 in save opportunities. The Vipers now have a record of 69-82 with the win over Cincinnati.
Texas took a 3-2 lead on Bryce Harper's 25th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Harper hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Cincinnati pitcher Tylor Megill visibly frustrated.
In postgame comments to the Texas Chronicle, Harper said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
