PNC Park hosted a real pitchers' duel.

The Pittsburgh Ironmen banked on Matthew Boyd and he turned in a masterful performance. The left-hander kept the San Diego hitters in check. The final score was 2-1, Ironmen. David Robertson was credited with the save, his 34th in 37 tries.

Boyd picked up the win. He's now 7-9, after putting the San Diego offense in the deep freeze. Over 7 innings, he allowed no earned runs on 4 hits.

"We were in it," said San Diego manager Kelly Woolsey. "We just didn't score enough runs."

The losing streak for San Diego has now reached 4 games.
