Titans Win at Oakland, 7-4
|
The Houston Titans defeated the Oakland Roses, 7-4, at Fan's Ballyard. Houston was led by 26-year old third baseman Jordan Westburg, who was 2-2 with a triple and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Tomoyuki Sugano earned the win for Houston. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 2. With the win, he raised his record to 12-5. The loss makes Oakland 80-72.
Early in the game, Westburg had a 2-run triple for Houston. It was his 7th triple of the season and put the Titans on top, 2-0.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Houston manager Stephen Strzepek.
