Explorers Win at Bronx, 3-2
|
The Chicago Explorers picked up a win at Magnum Stadium, taking down the Bronx Bombers, 3-2. Starting pitcher Grayson Rodriguez was a big reason why. The winner was Rodriguez. He threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Jesus Luzardo. Bronx now is 13-16.
Chicago used the hitting of Will D. Smith to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Explorers on top, 2-0. For the game, Smith had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Rodriguez.
