Harper Slugs Vipers to 8-3 Win
Texas right fielder Bryce Harper contributed significantly to his team's 8-3 win over the Portland Jaguars. Harper, who won the CBA Most Valuable Player in 2018, went 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Vipers. The Vipers, at 72-81, inhabit 4th place in the Union League Western Division.

With Texas leading 3-1 in the top of the second, Harper hit a curveball from Kyle Leahy for a 3-run home run. It was his 36th home run of the season and put the Vipers ahead, 6-1.
