Demons Lose to Wildcats in Walk-Off
|
The Baltimore Wildcats needed 10 innings to defeat the Detroit Demons, 7-6, at Toyota Field. Baltimore right fielder Luke Raley had a superb performance. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. With the win, Baltimore has a record of 69-84. Detroit falls to 75-78.
The decisive blow was delivered by Nick Pratto in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 29-year old left-handed pitcher Alex Vesia to win the game for Baltimore. The home crowd went nuts.
"It was a test of wills," said Joe Bubanj, the Baltimore skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
