Ironmen Send Portland Home with 4-1 Loss
The Pittsburgh Ironmen picked up a win at PNC Park, knocking off the Portland Jaguars, 4-1. Starting pitcher Matt Boyd played a key role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Boyd, now 1-2. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. Earning his 8th save of the year was David Robertson.

The Ironmen had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 4-1, Pittsburgh, with one out. Portland, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Max Kepler dug in at the plate, but on a 0-2 knuckle curve, he flied out.

The win puts Pittsburgh at 15-14.
