Yoshida Helps Washington Cruise to 13-2 Win
The Washington Hitmen topped the Los Angeles Spirit, 13-2, with left fielder Masataka Yoshida playing a big role. Yoshida went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Hitmen in the win. Phil Maton earned the save for Washington, his 1st of the year. Los Angeles drops to 15-14.

Tyler O'Neill, who finished 2nd in the UL in RBI with 114 last year, chipped in a grand slam home run for Washington in the bottom of the first. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Hitmen manager John Anderson.
