New York Slaps 6-2 Loss on Cincinnati
|
New York pitcher Peter Lambert had a large part in his team beating the Cincinnati Stars, 6-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. New York has won 3 straight, while Cincinnati has lost 3 in a row.
Thomas Saggese had a big 2-run double for the Sharks in the bottom of the third inning. With New York leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Tylor Megill and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sharks ahead, 3-0.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Sharks manager Nick Ruport.
