Los Angeles Drops Another One, 5-2
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Los Angeles Spirit and Houston Titans get after it.
Behind an impressive start by Luis Castillo, Houston beat Los Angeles, 5-2. Castillo got the win, improving to 10-7. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs.
Houston center fielder Nathan Lukes contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a changeup to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 48th hit of the season and put the Titans ahead, 3-0.
"I still think this team can play even better," Lukes told the Houston News.
Houston improves to 93-63 with the win. They lead their division by 9 games.
