Ramirez Slugs Dragons to 11-9 Win
Dragons third baseman Jose Ramirez left his mark on his team's 11-9 win over the Tampa Bay Bandits. Ramirez, who leads the FL in hits with 36, hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for San Francisco in the contest. Mason Miller picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Kirby Yates suffered the loss. Bryse Wilson was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

The Bandits had been locked in a 7-7 tie with the Dragons going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 2024 CBA Most Valuable Player winner Shohei Ohtani came to the plate. Ohtani hit a 3-run home run on a 2-2 curveball from Tampa Bay hurler Hunter Harvey. It was Ohtani's 12th home run of the year.

"I like our moxie," said Dragons manager Joe Turnage.

The win brings the Dragons to 18-11, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
