The Los Angeles Spirit topped the Boston Minutemen, 6-4, in Federal League action at Nike Field. The standout performance belonged to Los Angeles pitcher and The United States, native Patrick Sandoval. Sandoval yielded 2 runs over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 8-11. Peter Strzelecki notched his 11th save in 14 chances.
