Snakeyes Suffer 7-5 Home Defeat
|
The Baltimore Wildcats beat the San Diego Snakeyes, 7-5, at Petco Park. Connor Norby, in particular, was impressive. He went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Paul Sewald was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 24 of 30 save opportunities. Today's win puts Baltimore at 73-86, while San Diego falls to 77-82.
With Baltimore leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Norby hit a fastball from Robbie Ray for a grand slam home run. It was his 21st home run of the season and put the Wildcats ahead, 6-1.
"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Norby told the Baltimore Today.
