Bronx pitcher Jack Leiter did his part in helping his team defeat the Chicago Explorers, 10-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The loss has the Explorers at 15-15.

Aaron Schunk had a big 2-run double for the Bombers in the bottom of the second inning. With Bronx leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Aaron Civale and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bombers ahead, 3-0.

Chicago manager Rock Carpenter called the blowout loss "a real stinker."
