A 3-RBI performance from Juan Soto, who finished 5th in the UL in extra base hits with 81 last year, helped the Carolina Riptides beat the Cincinnati Stars, 9-6. Pierce Johnson earned the save for Carolina, his 6th. For the Stars, the loss makes them 11-19.

Early in the game, left fielder Addison Barger had a 2-run home run for Carolina. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Riptides on top, 2-0.

"We got the victory," said Barger. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
