The Portland Jaguars got a sterling performance from pitcher Cade Cavalli, but the Baltimore Wildcats still prevailed, 4-2. Cavalli threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. Baltimore pitcher Braxton Garrett got the win. He's now 2-1. Chris Bassitt was tagged with the loss. Camilo Doval earned the save for Baltimore, his 4th.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Jake Fraley came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Portland pitcher Chris Bassitt, he hit a first pitch splitter for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Baltimore on top, 4-2.

Baltimore manager Joe Bubanj was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.

For the Jaguars, the loss makes their record 11-19.
