Kepler Blasts Riptides, Jaguars Take Game 2, 5-4
With right fielder Max Kepler leading the charge, the Portland Jaguars got a road win over the Carolina Riptides, 5-4, in Game 2 of the Round 1. Kepler went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 at IBM Field to help Portland force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-3 series.

Portland pinch hitter Eric Wagaman helped the Jaguars go up, 1-0, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Wagaman hit a run-scoring single off Carolina pitcher Gabe Speier.

Portland manager Darren Meserve called it "a good, solid win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at IBM Field in Raleigh.
