At Chrysler Canyon, the Portland Jaguars and New York Sharks were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
A good performance from center fielder Blake Perkins helped the New York Sharks defeat the Portland Jaguars, 11-1. Perkins went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Sharks. Picking up the win was Bailey Ober. He went 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 0.
Early in the game, Perkins had a 3-run home run for New York. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Sharks on top, 3-0.
"Not much to say," Portland manager Darren Meserve said, when asked afterward about the defeat.
The defeat makes the Jaguars 11-20.
